Artist's Comments

More Lovecraft-inspired oddity. My two (mild) phobias combined: spiders and jellyfish. Blerghh.

Hey, Neil Gaiman likes to play around with Lovecraft's stuff. Ever read "Shogoth's Old Peculiar" or "A Study in Emerald"?

That's gonna scare the crap out of my friend when I show it to him.

It's not the ones who win, it's the ones who fight that I admire.

Jellyfish? Really? I don't think I've ever heard of someone being scared of jellyfish...I don't mind either myself, the one thing I can't stand...Cockroaches or anything that looks remotely similar...Bleck...

Hey, nifty! I like how you made it look like part is underwater and part isn't. As for phobias, heh, I like spiders. ^^ I'm mildly afraid of the dark, though. :D

Inspiration struck me... I wasn't able to duck fast enough. - Me.

this symbiosis is awesome. It has a kind of grace, yet has a creepy side, too (especially if you're phobic ;) ). Hard to tell. Love it. :worship:

I had always imagined Shogoths looking more like gigantic veiny amoebas with a variety of horrible appendages growing out, but who am I to argue with such a cool picture?

Old Peculiar is love. I'll have to look for A Study, though. c:

It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is goodness.

Only when I'm swimming in the ocean. A couple of years ago, I had just gotten out of the water and walked onto a pier and looked down.. to see hundreds of jellyfish, just a couple hundred yards over from where I'd been swimming. D:
